Why create this BRONZE site? One sunny afternoon in February 1999, we decided to order a 24 x 12 cast bronze memorial plaque for an existing funeral monument, and went to a local Miami cemetery to select a sample. They had a small collection of monuments on display outside, and we found a suitable bronze item we wanted to order. This is where our rather naive shopping attempt went sour.

YOU CAN'T JUST WALK IN AND ORDER A CAST BRONZE ITEM!

Well, maybe you can, but you're likely to get the sucker treatment... The salesman looked at us like we were crazy, and since the deceased was not buried there, after much hassle and dodging and explaining we only wanted a bronze plaque, without the granite base, he quoted a ridiculously high price just to get rid of us. We couldn't even find out who the actual bronze foundry was, and were told they don't sell directly to the public anyway.

Fortunately, we live in the information age, we're not stupid, we're on-line, we're mad, and we don't have to take salesman abuse anymore! This incident so affected us, that we decided to rain on their parade, by providing free public information and a viable alternative to the "establishment". By facilitating the ordering of bronze products on-line, we hope to cut from the loop the often greedy or largely clueless retail middlemen, and save you the grief and the obscene mark-up.
